Dipl.-Ing. Werner Barger (born 1951)
After graduation from high school in 1969 and military service studies of chemistry and mechanical engineering, postgraduate studies of European law at the Danube University of Krems, Academic European Law Expert in 1997.
Since 1981 practising in the field of the protection of intellectual property, Austrian Attorney and European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney specializing in mechanical engineering and matters involving European law, in particular product piracy and parallel imports.
Registered representative before the Unified Patent Court since the beginning.
Expert Lay Judge in patent matters in two Boards of the Higher Provincial Court of Vienna; for 25 years [maximum duration], until 2020, generally sworn and court certified expert in patent matters; Substitute Council Member of the European Patent Institute; for 20 years, until 2019, lecturer on intellectual property at Vienna Technical University.
Member of AIPPI and FICPI.
